Heartland Community Action Agency, Inc. Seeks Board Consultants

Heartland Community Action Agency, Inc.'s (Heartland) Board of Directors endeavors to expand its current membership and is seeking candidates to fill various positions on the Board. The Board is seeking consultants in the area of:

Homelessness: Someone who is or has experienced homelessness.

Legal: Someone who is or has been an attorney.

Accounting: Someone who is or has been an accountant. CPA preferred.

The purpose of the Board of Directors is to assure that Heartland fulfills it mission of " Building stronger communities by providing opportunities that empower people in need" by acting as a voting member of the Board which has full authority and responsibility to develop direction and policies for the operation of the Agency. The Board also monitors Heartland's financial health and overall performance and provides the Executive Director with the resources to meet the needs of those Heartland serves. The term of office is three years.

The Heartland Board of Directors meets the fourth Thursday of each month at Heartland's office in Cosmos, Minnesota. Heartland's annual meeting is held in May every year. To learn more about the annual meeting, contact Executive Director, Joan Macik.
